Privacy Policy

AEats · Last updated August 24, 2026

AEats is a personal meal-prep and health-tracking application. It is operated by its developer for personal use and is not offered as a commercial service. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and how you can remove it.

Data we collect

Account: the email address you sign in with.

Data you enter: food logs, dishes and their ingredients, staple snacks, body weight, step counts, manually entered intake totals, and profile details such as height, gender, and calorie targets.

Data from WHOOP (optional): if you connect a WHOOP account, the app reads your day strain, sleep performance score, and recovery score through the official WHOOP API, along with your WHOOP user ID and basic profile used to link the connection. The app requests read-only scopes and never writes anything to your WHOOP account.

How data is used

Your data is used for one purpose: showing your own nutrition and health metrics back to you inside the app. It is never sold, rented, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or analytics.

When you add an ingredient, its name and quantity are sent to OpenAI's API to estimate its macronutrients. Only the food description is sent — never your identity, account details, or health data.

Where data is stored

All data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security, so each account can only access its own rows. Data is encrypted in transit over TLS.

WHOOP OAuth tokens are stored server-side only and are never exposed to the browser. WHOOP data received via webhooks is verified with signature validation before it is processed.

Your control and data deletion

You can edit or delete any logged entry at any time from within the app.

You can disconnect WHOOP at any time from the app's Settings page. Disconnecting revokes the app's access with WHOOP and deletes the stored tokens; previously synced scores remain in your daily history until you delete them. You can also revoke access from your WHOOP account's connected-apps settings.

To delete your account and all associated data, contact the developer and the data will be removed in full.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Because AEats is a personal, single-user application, material changes are unlikely.
